Catching Tips

Avoid Ultra Balls for powerful Pokémon. Instead: Heavy Ball for heavy targets, Timer Ball after 10+ turns, Fast Ball for Speed 100+, Dusk Ball at night for slow ones.

Roaming legendaries retain damage, status, and shininess between encounters. Use Mean Look or Shadow Tag to prevent fleeing.

If you accidentally KO a legendary during a story event, some (like Rayquaza during the Hoopa battle) will not respawn on higher difficulties.
