Snarl damages and lowers the Special Attack of affected targets by one stage, but it doesn't affect Pokémon with the Soundproof Ability. It hits all adjacent opponents in Triple Battles and becomes a Water-type move when used by a Pokémon with Liquid Voice. If the user is affected by Throat Chop, it can't use Snarl for two turns. Snarl's power gets a 30% boost with the Punk Rock Ability but deals half damage to a Pokémon with Punk Rock. Holding a Throat Spray will consume it and raise the user's Special Attack by one stage. Note that Snarl cannot be selected via Metronome.
