Move Details

Drain Punch inflicts damage while replenishing the user's HP with up to 50% of the damage dealt. If the attack causes just 1 HP of damage, 1 HP is restored to the user. If the user's current HP exceeds its maximum, it's reset to the maximum. However, the Ability Liquid Ooze in the target prevents HP restoration and causes the user to lose the equivalent amount. Holding a Big Root boosts the restored HP by 30%, resulting in 65% of the damage dealt. This enhancement only affects HP restoration, not the attack's power. Drain Punch has a base power of 60 and 5 PP in this generation.
